The date of the official release of Windows 7 has been confirmed by a Microsoft spokesperson. “I can finally confirm Windows 7 timing,” said the spokesperson.

A program called Windows Upgrade Option will also be launced for those users who want to upgrade to Windows 7 from Windows Vista.

Ankit,

Beginning July 1st anyone still running the Beta version of Windows 7 will begin experiencing bi-hourly shutdowns. Please ensure all data is backed up before that time as it will make it very hard to do a data backup there after. Upon a successful data backup, install a clean version of Windows 7 RC.

To do so and to learn some great information about Windows 7, head on over to Microsoft Springboard.
